Private Banking Associate

Location: Nanaimo, BC, Canada. The role includes client-facing branch duties, with the proportion of on-site and remote work discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Greet clients arriving for meetings and connect them with the appropriate Private Banking Centre staff.
• Handle walk-in clients’ transactional banking needs, including deposits, withdrawals, ABM over-limit requests, drafts, cheque certification, and foreign currency transactions.
• Balance cash holdings, branch clearings, and transaction-related debits and credits.
• Manage office administration, equipment, stationery, functions, and events.
• Support health and safety, expense reporting, onboarding, and operational queries across the Quebec region.
• Provide compliant, high-quality service and resolve client issues by finding mutually satisfactory solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with debit and credit entries, cash balancing, foreign currency transactions, and customer transaction processing.
• Knowledge of convenience and high-value banking products and services.
• Strong customer service, communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, management, and regional portfolios.
• Must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
