V.I.E - Fleet Operability Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for development, durability, reliability, and field fleet vehicles.
• Support vehicle fleets at proving grounds, shipping ports, storage yards, and launch activities.
• Analyze electrical, networking, and software-related vehicle concerns, including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication logs.
• Prepare issue reports, corrective action recommendations, weekly operational updates, and executive summaries.
• Coordinate with design, software, validation, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive issues to closure.
• Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and support vehicle readiness reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Experience with DOORS, CANoe, CANalyzer, and Microsoft Office.
• At least B2 English proficiency in written and spoken communication, with the ability to interact with customers daily.
• Autonomy, problem-solving ability, strong communication and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and practical experience as an intern or working student.

Nice to have

• OEM experience.
• Knowledge of ASIL and Automotive SPICE.
