Senior Tender Engineer Layout (Waste-to-Energy)

Location: Milan, Italy

Salary: €48,000 gross per year minimum, with compensation determined by level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop conceptual plant layouts and 3D models for international Waste-to-Energy and Renewable Gas EPC proposals.
• Prepare overall plant concepts covering process integration, maintenance, traffic management, and buildings.
• Optimize plant arrangements for cost competitiveness and coordinate interfaces across engineering, construction, logistics, and supply-chain disciplines.
• Review contract specifications, identify project risks and opportunities, and participate in clarification and negotiation meetings.
• Lead layout reviews, issue planning drawings, provide civil input data, and hand over successful tenders to project execution.
• Maintain tendering knowledge, tools, and guidelines while implementing lessons learned from executed projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an international EPC environment within energy, renewables, environmental technology, oil and gas, or a similar industry.
• Experience in project execution or tendering, with knowledge of process plant layout, steel structures, civil design, and technical cost drivers.
• Deep understanding of 2D and 3D CAD modelling and awareness of BIM methodology.
• Experience with Aveva E3D, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Waste-to-Energy or Renewable Gas technologies, including combustion and boilers, flue gas treatment, water-steam cycles, balance of plant, carbon capture, or anaerobic digestion.
• Fluent English is required. An autonomous, proactive, curious, flexible, and team-oriented approach is expected.
