Fire & Life Safety Engineer/Consultant-Hospitality Sector

Location: Milan, Italy; frequent travel across Europe and Africa, with travel expected to exceed 50%.

What you will do

• Manage hospitality-sector fire and life safety consulting projects across Europe and Africa.
• Coordinate technical workloads, client meetings, workshops, inspections and project expectations.
• Prepare and present technical reports, presentations and fire protection engineering strategies.
• Initially train in code consulting and fire protection system design and review.
• Progressively conduct design reviews with greater autonomy while working with project teams.
• Support business development through client meetings, presentations and proposal development.

Requirements

• Technical degree in any engineering specialty.
• Experience with site inspections, code consulting, fire suppression or alarm system design, or performance-based strategies in a project design environment.
• Strong analytical, creative thinking, report writing, communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English and required Italian language skills.
• Ability to present technical concepts, speak publicly, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts and enforce standards.
• Willingness to travel extensively, exceeding 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Chartered Engineer or PE qualification.
• Previous hospitality-sector experience.
• German or French language skills.
