Location: New York, NY; hybrid schedule requiring work from the office at least four days per week

Salary: $93,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Write and edit accurate, conversational, authoritative anchor copy for NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas.
• Produce original news pieces from story development and reporting through scripting, video selection, and final edit.
• Respond to breaking news by researching, rewriting, and updating copy in real time.
• Collaborate with anchors, correspondents, executive and senior producers, and the control room to shape stories and live coverage.
• Conduct reporting, research, and fact-checking while maintaining accuracy, fairness, clarity, and journalistic integrity.
• Support major breaking news, special reports, field assignments, interviews, and other NBC News programming.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience producing and writing television news at the national network or cable level.
• Exceptional broadcast writing, copy-editing, reporting, research, and fact-checking skills.
• Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of national and international news.
• Experience producing television news pieces from conception through final edit and working with anchors, correspondents, and senior newsroom staff.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, with the ability to manage multiple assignments under intense deadline pressure.
• Must be willing and able to work in person in New York, NY, with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and major breaking-news events.

• Strong visual storytelling instincts across copy, video, sound, graphics, and reporting.
