Senior Data Engineer (NLP/AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance are required. Minimal travel may be required to engage with government customers and project stakeholders.

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 per year

What you will do

• Support Condition-Based Maintenance Plus initiatives from inception through deployment.
• Collect, process, sustain, and optimize data through end-to-end ETL pipelines.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualization to identify actionable trends and insights.
• Build and maintain knowledge graph capabilities.
• Integrate trained models into production applications and APIs with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Monitor data quality and model performance to detect and mitigate drift and degradation.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 2 years of experience applying NLP, data labeling, and entity or keyword extraction.
• Proficiency with Databricks, PySpark, SQL, data governance frameworks, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of statistical distributions for data assessment, analysis, and predictive modeling.
• Strong communication, collaboration, self-direction, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or another STEM field.
• Advanced AI/ML experience in predictive maintenance and defense logistics.
• Experience developing sensor-based failure prediction models and equipment health indicators.
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulations, statistical confidence intervals, and customer-facing UI/UX integration.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Microsoft Office, Qlik Sense, Streamlit, or other visualization tools.
