Senior Software Engineer (Observability, Managed Inputs)

hirify.global develops the hirify.global Search AI Platform for search, security, and observability across structured and unstructured data.

What you will do

• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain high-performing, scalable features for Managed Inputs and Managed Integrations across three major cloud providers.
• Build and operate backend ingestion pipelines for observability data from hirify.global Agents, agentless setups, OpenTelemetry collectors, and cloud sources.
• Own projects and features from concept through delivery, including safe deployment mechanisms and quality gates.
• Provide engineering support for escalated customer cases and participate in an on-call rotation of 12 hours per day for one week every 8–10 weeks.
• Monitor alerts, build SLIs and SLOs, investigate root causes, and maintain system stability.
• Review pull requests, mentor peers, and collaborate across a globally distributed team.

Requirements

• Intermediate to expert Go skills with strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform-based infrastructure as code, and Kafka.
• Intermediate experience with observability, including tracing, metrics, logs, and profiling.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems, including design trade-offs and operational challenges.
• Experience with or interest in OpenTelemetry, autonomous decision-making, root-cause analysis, and asynchronous communication.
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools for feature development, debugging, and code optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience designing scalable, highly available services that ingest terabytes of data per day.
• Experience as an operational responder or incident commander.
• Experience with hirify.globalsearch and/or Kibana.
• Open-source development or community contributions.
• Experience working in fully remote teams.
