Lead, Test Automation & Tools (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Design and implement custom automation frameworks for functional, performance, and security testing.
• Develop reusable libraries, plugins, CLI tools, and scalable test harnesses for distributed systems, microservices, mobile applications, and cloud SaaS products.
• Integrate testing tools with Git, CI/CD platforms, artifact repositories, reporting systems, and device farms.
• Containerize testing tools with Docker and orchestrate environments using Kubernetes.
• Implement observability with New Relic, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
• Partner with QE, SRE/DevOps, and development teams to provide governance, documentation, training, and tooling support.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in quality engineering and test tools development or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong Java programming skills and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience with functional, API, performance, and security testing tools, including Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, REST Assured, JMeter, K6, OWASP ZAP, and Burp Suite.
• Experience integrating testing tools with Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD, GitLab, Jira, reporting platforms, device farms, and related engineering systems.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, REST, gRPC, WebSockets, cloud platforms including GCP, Kubernetes, Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and asynchronous architectures.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/ML-based test generation or test impact analysis.
• Background in developer experience or internal platform engineering.
• Experience with mocking and service virtualization tools such as WireMock, Hoverfly, or Mockito.
