Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer

Location: Hybrid Northamptonshire, United Kingdom — 3 days per week in the office and 2 days working from home

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum

An established Microsoft Partner specialising in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics NAV, with over 19 years of experience delivering Dynamics solutions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customisations and extensions using AL and Visual Studio Code.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with functional consultants and stakeholders.
• Develop integrations with third-party systems and internal applications using APIs and web services.
• Troubleshoot issues across multiple environments and support upgrades, data migrations, and functionality deployments.
• Apply best practices across source control, testing, and DevOps while producing technical design documentation.
• Lead development activities, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• 8 years of Dynamics NAV/C/AL development experience and 5 years of Dynamics 365 Business Central/AL development experience.
• Strong experience with AL, C/AL, Visual Studio Code, Git, Business Central architecture, extensions, and event-driven programming.
• Experience with APIs, web services, system integrations, C/AL-to-AL conversions, and technical design specifications.
• Understanding of finance and operational processes, including finance, warehousing, and inventory.
• Experience leading or mentoring developers, with strong problem-solving, independent working, and communication skills.
• Availability to work in the Northamptonshire office 3 days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, or Azure DevOps.
• Functional Business Central experience.
• Experience in a Microsoft Dynamics Partner environment.
• Experience leading a development team or producing functional design documentation.
