Staff Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work with at least 12 monthly in-office days

What you will do

• Lead the technical vision and roadmap for data science products and systems.
• Architect and deploy end-to-end machine learning systems and optimization frameworks at scale.
• Design and execute experimentation frameworks to measure the incrementality of product and business interventions.
• Establish rigorous statistical and engineering practices for maintainable data products.
• Mentor colleagues and advise on complex technical and mathematical challenges.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to identify opportunities and develop pragmatic solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied machine learning experience in an industry setting.
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning and statistics, with hands-on A/B testing experience.
• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Ability to work autonomously from research through production deployment.
• Strong mentoring and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts.
