Vessel Operation Coordinator

Location: Milan, Italy — hybrid

Gross annual salary: €36,000 or more, plus an individual or collective variable incentive based on predetermined performance objectives.

What you will do

• Own and coordinate vessel operation plans across submarine installation, engineering, vessel management, mobilisation, asset management, crewing, finance, QHSE, and procurement functions.
• Coordinate vessel mobilisation and demobilisation throughout project execution, working with offshore superintendents, vessel managers, vessel masters, project teams, and asset teams.
• Ensure vessel readiness, maintenance, equipment availability, safety, quality, contractual compliance, and timely fulfilment of project obligations.
• Support vessel manning plans and coordinate crewing requirements with vessel OIMs.
• Monitor vessel budgets and day rates, supporting cost control and coordination with Finance.
• Coordinate the procurement of rental equipment and support vessels, including anchor-handling tugs, crew transfer vessels, and supply vessels.

Requirements

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• Three to five years of experience in submarine cable installation or the construction industry.
• Fluent English and Italian.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, decision-making, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented and ambitious approach with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
