Security Engineer Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Paris, France; Paris preferred

hirify.global builds products and an engineering platform whose data, applications, and integrations are protected by the Security team.

What you will do

• Triage, investigate, qualify, and escalate day-to-day security alerts.
• Improve detection coverage, reduce alert noise, and close detection gaps.
• Automate recurring alerts and manual security checks using scripting.
• Run targeted audits of applications, configurations, and third-party providers.
• Own security projects involving platform tools, integrations, and hardening.
• Support fraud investigations by analyzing abuse patterns and earlier detection opportunities.

Requirements

• Curiosity about security and the ability to learn quickly.
• Pragmatic, proactive approach with strong follow-through and judgment about urgency and risk.
• Comfort collaborating with engineering teams and asking questions.
• Professional written and spoken English.
• Scripting ability in Python or an equivalent language.
• Basic understanding of web applications, APIs, and cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Personal security projects, CTFs, homelab experience, bug bounties, or security writeups.
• Exposure to SIEM tools, detection rules, or large-scale log analysis.
• Interest in fraud and abuse patterns in financial products.
