Sr. Voice IMS Engineer (IMS)

Location: Athens, Attiki, Greece; hybrid work with a blend of remote and office-based working, including the option to work from abroad.

What you will do

• Provide second-level operational support for Voice Core IMS services, including incident and problem management and preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Configure, administer, upgrade, and expand fixed and mobile voice systems while maintaining service continuity and network availability.
• Investigate signalling, call-control, media, and service issues using protocol traces, logs, alarms, counters, and end-to-end call-flow analysis.
• Test and accept new systems, software releases, integrations, and services before production deployment.
• Monitor faults, performance, and capacity, implementing corrective actions, optimization, and measurable service improvements.
• Coordinate vendor and internal technical escalations, support major incidents, and contribute to security-compliant changes, automation, documentation, and technical projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience operating, supporting, integrating, or engineering mobile Voice Core IMS systems.
• Strong knowledge of IMS and Voice Core functions, including call session control, application and service platforms, subscriber and routing functions, interconnection, and media control.
• Experience with VoLTE, VoWiFi, VoNR, IMS interworking, CS voice, legacy signalling, and complex protocol traces and call flows.
• Practical knowledge of SIP, Diameter, ISUP, H.248, MAP, SCCP, and TCAP, plus IP networking and Linux-based systems.
• Very good written and spoken English is required. Standby and 24x7 support may be required, including planned work outside regular hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with virtualization, cloud-native telecom platforms, containers, orchestration, scripting, automation, monitoring, or data-analysis tools.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments, interconnects, emergency services, number portability, roaming, regulatory requirements, or geographically distributed teams.
