Explorer 2027 Performance & Improvement Internship (Aerospace)

Location: Illescas, Spain; on-site work at the plant is required

What you will do

• Learn and apply the Airbus Operating System (AOS), including continuous improvement tools and standardized management routines.
• Monitor operational routines on the shop floor, focusing on Non-OEE and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Analyze stakeholder attendance, meeting content, routine efficiency, and machine-performance-related activities.
• Define and monitor performance-system KPIs and support AOS Change Agents in deploying and maturing AOS standards, including sustainability.
• Participate in developing digital tools for shop-floor management and data analytics.
• Prepare a final thesis with an assessment report, improvement action plan, and documented steps taken to enhance AOS deployment across production lines.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• High-level spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of digital solutions management, such as Google Workspace tools.
• Knowledge of Lean principles.
• Innovative, proactive, energetic, and willing to learn.
• Recent graduate or student completing a final project or thesis.

Hiring process

• The internship includes an induction phase, shop-floor monitoring, analysis, and final thesis presentation.
