Workday Application Engineer (Workforce Management)

Location: Ayala, Makati City, Philippines; hybrid work model with remote work from home several days a week.

What you will do

• Support, configure, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday and related Workforce Management applications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday Time & Leave, HCM, and one or more related areas such as payroll integrations, security, data conversion, time tracking, absence management, or talent management.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, supportable solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and compliance standards.
• Monitor application performance, integrations, interfaces, and data loads; resolve incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Design, support, and troubleshoot Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Workday Web Services, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Support testing, deployments, security administration, reporting, documentation, governance, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Experience in one or more Workday areas: Core HCM, Time & Leave, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Management, Integrations, Security, or Data Conversion.
• Knowledge of Workday Studio, Advanced Custom Reports, EIB, Core Connectors, PICOF/PECI, Workday Web Services, REST and SOAP Services.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery, system administration, portal configuration, monitoring and incident management, and software configuration management.
• Experience with one or more of SQL, Python, Java, C#, Azure, Node.js, Angular, Oracle/SQL Server, low-code development platforms, or automation scripting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, customer-focus, planning, organization, execution, ownership, and accountability skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Experience working in Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban environments.
