GS SQE (Machining and Special Process)

Location: Based in Shanghai, China; willingness to travel approximately 30% is required.

What you will do

• Qualify and onboard suppliers through capability analysis and supplier-risk assessment.
• Lead product and process qualification for suppliers of gas turbine combustion components and systems.
• Develop suppliers by implementing quality-improvement measures across the supplier lifecycle.
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and risk-management activities for supplier quality issues.
• Evaluate new and revised component designs for manufacturability and sourceability, including cost-impact input.
• Support procurement and business initiatives related to localization, sourcing strategy, sustainability, innovation, and digitalization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering-related discipline.
• Experience as a quality, manufacturing, or design engineer.
• Practical manufacturing experience with gas turbine combustion processes, including complex-part machining, welding, and special processes.
• Experience with root cause analysis and quality or risk-management methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Based in Shanghai and willing to travel approximately 30%.
