What you will do

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to identify process optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Troubleshoot production issues using engineering principles and structured problem-solving.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, process flowcharts, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support inspections, testing, quality control, and root cause analysis for non-conforming products.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and monitor relevant industry technologies.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor's, or master's program in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software, and engineering principles.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, and take on new responsibilities.
• Must meet U.S. Government space technology export-control eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying protected status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with electronics assemblies.
• Experience with SMT methods.
• Experience with CNC manufacturing.
