Transportation Design Services Leader (Transportation Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Establish and grow the roadway and transportation design practice throughout the West Florida market.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a multidisciplinary transportation design team.
• Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for highway, bridge, complete streets, multimodal, and related infrastructure projects.
• Develop client relationships with FDOT, local governments, transportation authorities, MPOs/TPOs, and municipal clients.
• Lead capture plans, go/no-go decisions, teaming strategies, proposals, shortlist interviews, and project presentations.
• Serve as a project manager, project director, or technical lead while monitoring schedule, budget, resources, quality, and financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible transportation and roadway or bridge design experience.
• Demonstrated experience delivering FDOT design projects and understanding FDOT standards, policies, and project development processes.
• Experience developing client relationships, winning transportation engineering work, and managing multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with FDOT District 7, local agencies, and West Florida transportation partners.
• Experience building or leading a transportation design group and winning major transportation contracts.
• Participation in ACEC, ASHE, WTS, ITE, FES, or similar industry organizations.
• Experience with MicroStation, GeoPak, and OpenRoads Designer.
