Contracts Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Torrance, California; the posting also lists Los Angeles, CA.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Run contract intake from request triage through drafting, negotiation, signature, and execution.
• Draft, review, and redline NDAs, MSAs, statements of work, purchase and supply agreements, vendor and consultant agreements, and teaming agreements.
• Build and maintain contract playbooks and templates for consistent handling of recurring terms.
• Administer the contract lifecycle system, maintain the repository, and track renewals, deadlines, deliverables, and obligations.
• Support government and prime contractor flow-down requirements, including export control, cybersecurity, and reporting terms.
• Coordinate with the General Counsel, business development, supply chain, production, finance, and engineering on contracts and compliance projects.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in contracts administration, contract management, or a paralegal role with substantial commercial contracting responsibility.
• Independent experience drafting and redlining commercial agreements, with sound judgment about escalation.
• Experience building or significantly improving contracting processes.
• Strong organization, deadline management, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Torrance, California.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations for ITAR-regulated work.

Nice to have

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent formal training.
• Experience in hardware, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense-adjacent companies.
• Familiarity with FAR and DFARS flow-downs or ITAR and EAR requirements.
• Experience implementing or administering a contract lifecycle management platform.
• Exposure to procurement, supplier onboarding, or vendor risk review.
