hirify.global is a global testing, inspection, and certification company partnering with Gidlow Engineering to deliver specialised engineering services for New Zealand’s geothermal industry.

What you will do

• Assist with the maintenance, repair, and installation of geothermal pipelines, valves, and steamfield equipment.
• Develop practical fitting and mechanical skills alongside experienced tradespeople.
• Support planned maintenance and outage activities for geothermal and industrial assets.
• Use hand and power tools, read technical drawings and work instructions, and complete supervised inspections and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate work and training records while progressing toward a nationally recognised trade qualification.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental requirements and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in mechanical trades, engineering, or hands-on work.
• Previous experience in a practical role and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Positive attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
• Good communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to following safety procedures.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Nice to have

• Completion of a mechanical, engineering, or trade pre-trade course.
