Tooling & Manufacturing Engineering Intern

Location: Teparuk, Thailand; onsite role. Travel is not required.

hirify.global Technology operates a Teparuk manufacturing site producing nano-recording heads for hard disk drives.

What you will do

• Research manufacturing tooling performance and process capability.
• Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cycle time.
• Collect data, perform statistical analysis, and investigate root causes of manufacturing issues.
• Support tooling design validation, prototype testing, and process qualification.
• Evaluate automation and digitalization opportunities and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, and Production teams; document and present engineering findings.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, JMP, Minitab, Python, Power BI, or similar.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, or Industrial Engineering principles.
• Basic understanding of CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Programming, automation, data analytics, or machine learning experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductors, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
