Quant Engineer - Assistant Vice President

Location: New York, New York, United States; hybrid schedule with office work Monday–Thursday and remote flexibility on Friday.

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annually, depending on level, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Develop robust and scalable quantitative financial models for portfolio risk analytics.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers to define and implement proprietary models.
• Build centralized financial calculation engines for the commercial technology platform.
• Test, validate, and document quantitative methodologies for accuracy, robustness, and transparency.
• Communicate analytics and methodologies to stakeholders and clients.
• Partner with other teams to gather requirements, incorporate feedback, and deliver risk analytics with a strong user experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in quantitative financial modeling, data science, or software development.
• Strong Python programming skills for data analysis, modeling, and software development.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java, Scala, or C++.
• Distributed systems experience.
• Experience with cloud services.
