Senior Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; primarily office-based. Standard business hours apply, with occasional evening and weekend availability for donor events and campaign activities.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually, approximately $6,250–$6,666.67 monthly.

What you will do

• Lead the university’s foundation and corporate fundraising strategy, annual goals, performance metrics, and operating budget.
• Identify funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with major and principal-level foundation and corporate partners.
• Develop complex grant applications, funding proposals, and stewardship reports supporting scholarships, programs, outreach, students, faculty, and staff.
• Coordinate internal requests for external solicitations and advise campus partners on funders, timing, and proposal strategy.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the Foundation and Corporate Relations Officer.
• Represent Institutional Advancement at university, community, and industry events while maintaining donor and prospect records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least five years of related experience, including demonstrated success securing major grants from foundations and corporations; a master’s degree with three years of related experience may substitute.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including advanced formal proposal and grant-writing expertise.
• Ability to build relationships with donors, prospective donors, campus partners, colleagues, and university leadership.
• Ability to work in an office-based role in Corpus Christi and support occasional evening and weekend events.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history investigation.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Seven to ten years of progressive foundation and corporate fundraising experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff and securing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Experience at a university or comparable complex nonprofit, Raiser's Edge experience, or a CFRE or similar credential.
