Sr. Custom Loan Specialist (Commercial Banking)

What you will do

• Determine the legal, regulatory, compliance, and bank policy documents required to finalize loan transactions.
• Prepare and review documentation for consumer, personal real estate, commercial, and syndicated loans.
• Conduct borrower and collateral due diligence, including KYC/OFAC checks, flood determinations, UCC searches, good standing certificates, and title commitments.
• Coordinate with attorneys, outside law firms, relationship managers, and account officers on complex or non-standard documentation.
• Prepare booking forms and collateral setups, submit completed loan packages for funding approval, and produce audit reports.
• Develop operational controls, maintain knowledge of loan products and collateral types, and train junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience, in commercial banking or secured lending.
• Strong knowledge of personal and commercial loan documentation, commercial real estate, and syndicated loan transactions.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for personal and commercial loans.
• Experience with commercial banking systems, documentation analysis, collateral procedures, and bank databases.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and computer skills.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
