TL;DR
Medical Science Liaison Iberia (Ophthalmology): Supporting scientific engagement, medical education, KOL relationships, and local evidence generation across Spain and Portugal with an accent on ophthalmology, clinical data, and healthcare professional education. Focus on presenting scientific evidence, gathering field insights, supporting Investigator-Sponsored Trials, and collaborating with cross-functional Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Clinical Development teams.

Location: Madrid, Spain; field-based coverage across Spain and Portugal with extensive travel.

Salary: EUR 62,294–93,441 gross per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals, patient associations, and other external stakeholders across Iberia.
  • Provide balanced, evidence-based medical information on hirify.global products and therapeutic areas.
  • Present clinical and scientific data to physicians, pharmacists, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support medical education initiatives, customer training, internal medical training, congress participation, and scientific meetings.
  • Gather field insights, monitor scientific developments, and communicate relevant findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Support local Medical Affairs and R&D studies, including protocol implementation, study administration, research opportunities, and publication activities.

Requirements

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Optometry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • 2–4 years of experience in an MSL role.
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate complex scientific, clinical, and medical information.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, educational, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced English language skills, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Spain and Portugal, with up to 80% of working time dedicated to external customer interactions and occasional European or international travel.
