Senior Frontend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, or Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Own major areas of the Developer Console, including billing, usage tracking, quotas, request logs, or metrics.
• Build and evolve frontend interfaces, APIs, backend services, and data systems for growing customer usage.
• Define system boundaries, data models, and tradeoffs between real-time and batch processing, performance, and cost.
• Drive ambiguous projects from initial definition through production and scale.
• Lead technical execution, design reviews, and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.
• Improve system reliability, observability, debuggability, and production readiness.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience owning and delivering complex production systems end to end.
• Strong backend fundamentals in APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Full-stack capability with experience in Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, Postgres, and Redis.
• Strong architectural judgment, practical decision-making, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading design reviews, and raising engineering quality standards.
• Typically 8+ years of industry experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
