Junior Fullstack Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid role in Wakefield, Massachusetts, with in-office attendance one day every other week and additional in-person training and workshops as needed.

Salary: $88,000–$93,000 per year, calibrated to geographic location.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, enhance, and integrate custom applications across different technology stacks and connected systems.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and development peers to deliver secure, maintainable software.
• Convert legacy applications into web-based applications and contribute to incremental modernization.
• Design and build secure, well-defined REST APIs.
• Build automation with Airflow.
• Use Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Repos to improve development and release processes.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience building or supporting software applications through professional work, internships, coursework, or personal projects.
• Programming experience with Python and familiarity with TypeScript and React.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of secure, maintainable, and testable software design, basic application security, and legacy-system troubleshooting.
• Experience in Agile or collaborative cross-functional development environments, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Azure Repos, Terraform, or Airflow.
• Experience with Git, build pipelines, authentication, and testing.
• Interest in using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve software quality and developer productivity.
