Senior Security Engineer II - IAM (Identity and Access Management)

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and automate security capabilities in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analyze security trends, metrics, and improvement opportunities, then execute security initiatives with stakeholders.
• Lead incident response activities, including analysis, containment, mitigation, resolution, and remediation.
• Develop and refine security policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; 8 years of security experience may substitute for a degree.
• 4+ years acting as a trusted technical advisor and 4+ years coaching engineers or analysts.
• Experience with federated identity tools such as Okta, Entra ID, or Ping Identity, and IGA tools such as Omada, Lumos, SailPoint, or Saviynt.
• Deep knowledge of cloud IAM architecture, including AWS IAM, Azure Entra ID, or GCP IAM; least privilege, RBAC, ABAC, and permission policies.
• Experience with Python, Terraform, or PowerShell automation.
• Knowledge of SAML, OIDC, OAuth, LDAP/Directory Services, SSO, MFA, JIT access, user lifecycle automation, authentication, authorization, and directory services.

Nice to have

• Healthcare or health-tech experience, including electronic health records or clinical data.
• Experience with tooling, automation, distributed systems, automated security metrics, regulatory compliance, and security standards.
• Practical experience managing service accounts, API keys, bots, and workload identities across cloud infrastructure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
