Senior Director, Enterprise Compliance (Healthcare)

Location: New York City office with a hybrid schedule requiring three days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are required in-office days; the other two office days are flexible.

Salary: $218,592–$286,902 per year, plus equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise compliance program, including multi-year strategy, annual work plans, risk assessments, policy governance, regulatory change management, monitoring, auditing, and reporting.
• Translate compliance priorities into operating plans, establish governance and ownership, allocate resources, and develop compliance managers and team members.
• Anticipate federal and state healthcare regulatory developments and advise senior leaders on their impact on products, market participation, business strategy, and operations.
• Oversee compliance investigations, hotline reporting, the Special Investigations Unit, fraud prevention, corrective action plans, and remediation.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, Security, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk, Clinical, Product, Operations, and People teams to embed compliance into business processes.
• Lead ethics and compliance education, executive and board reporting, regulatory examinations, and engagement with regulators and external auditors.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, legal compliance, audit, or enterprise risk management.
• 5+ years leading high-performing compliance teams and enterprise-wide compliance initiatives.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining healthcare compliance programs aligned with OIG Compliance Program Guidance and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Experience supporting regulated healthcare organizations such as health plans, managed care organizations, healthcare technology companies, or provider organizations.
• Experience leading regulatory risk assessments, investigations, monitoring, auditing, corrective action planning, and policy governance.
• Strong communication skills and experience presenting to executive leaders, governance committees, regulators, or external auditors.

Nice to have

• Experience with Marketplace and other government or commercial health-plan products.
• Experience leading compliance in a technology-enabled, rapidly scaling, or operationally complex healthcare organization.
• Experience using data, technology, and automation to improve compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Healthcare compliance certification such as CHC, CHPC, or CCEP.
• JD, master's degree, or other relevant advanced education.
