Director Federal Policy (Healthcare Policy)

Location: United States, with offices in New York City and Washington, DC; hybrid work requiring onsite attendance 2–3 days per week.

Annual base salary: $176,600–$294,300, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Develop and execute federal healthcare policy and advocacy strategies supporting patient access, drug pricing, coverage, reimbursement, and payment reforms.
• Track and analyze U.S. legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments affecting current and future medicines.
• Lead the drafting and submission of public comments on federal regulatory actions from agencies such as HHS and CMS.
• Prepare policy assessments, key messages, presentations, infographics, and other advocacy materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional workgroups assessing complex policy changes and their financial implications for commercial and hospital businesses.
• Engage government bodies, regulatory agencies, trade associations, think tanks, and policy organizations to advance policy objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in federal healthcare policy and advocacy, or a master’s degree and at least 7 years of experience.
• Experience with U.S. government healthcare programs, policy analysis, research, development, and strategic planning.
• Leadership experience, including influencing peers, collaborating across functions, coaching others, and guiding complex workstreams.
• Strong strategic analysis, project management, networking, relationship-building, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience managing multiple high-profile priorities with accuracy and technical detail in a fast-changing environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer and have permanent U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with CMS drug coverage and payment systems, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience in a federal health agency or on Congressional legislative committee staff.
• Experience with academic experts, think tanks, healthcare policy organizations, or advocacy groups.
• Ability to guide financial or quantitative analyses.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint.
