Senior RCM Associate (AI)

Location: Fully remote, with an option to work from the NYC office.

What you will do

• Manage patient-facing and internal billing questions, including denials, patient responsibility investigations, and insurance coverage verifications.
• Process claims end to end through the clearinghouse and coordinate with clinical operations, payer operations, customer experience, and product teams.
• Improve revenue cycle management processes by identifying automation opportunities, optimizing workflows, and supporting payer-specific billing projects and new service lines.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Communicate billing updates, escalate complex cases, and collect information needed to resolve patient and payer issues.
• Test and optimize AI-powered billing tools with Product and Engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or healthcare operations.
• Familiarity with insurance billing workflows, including claim submission, denial management, ERA reconciliation, and payer communications.
• Professional, empathetic communication skills and the ability to de-escalate billing concerns.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Interest in technology, automation, and using AI to improve billing operations.

Nice to have

• Medical coding background with a CPC or CCS credential.
