Chemical and Industrial Hygiene Manager

Location: On-site in Cranbury, New Jersey, with responsibility for the Natick, Massachusetts location; 20% domestic travel and occasional international travel may be required.

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and maintain Chemical Hygiene Plans for all U.S. locations.
• Conduct or oversee industrial hygiene sampling, including API or surrogate testing for potent compound exposure control.
• Lead improvements to processes, facility designs, procedures, and controls related to chemical and API exposures.
• Manage EHS systems for Cranbury and Natick, including LOTO, PPE, noise, machine guarding, potent compounds, and chemical safety.
• Oversee employee training, corporate chemical exposure audits, accident investigations, CAPA tracking, and performance metrics.
• Manage hazardous waste collection, accumulation, shipment, documentation, and the shared-service MSDS database.

Requirements

• BS or BA in Chemical Engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of relevant chemical engineering or industrial hygiene experience.
• Preferred Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Expertise in regulatory requirements under NIOSH, OSHA, EPA, CDC, NRC, and related standards; working knowledge of GLP and GMP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus the ability to work in laboratory environments with chemicals, biohazards, PPE, variable temperatures, and physical activity requirements.
