Location: Field-based role covering Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois; permanent residence in the listed territory required. Up to 50% travel and up to 50% of time onsite with healthcare providers.

Salary: $102,000–$177,100 base pay per year.

What you will do

  • Educate healthcare providers and office staff on reimbursement processes, claims submission, coding, payer procedures, and access requirements for oncology therapies.
  • Provide field-based reimbursement support and resolve patient access and affordability issues.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and internal J&J functions as the local reimbursement subject matter expert.
  • Build trusted relationships across oncology accounts and assess provider education and support needs.
  • Manage territory logistics, routing, account planning, and market knowledge across national, regional, local, and account-level payer dynamics.
  • Support understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels while following legal, ethical, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in account management, reimbursement, managed care, revenue cycle, or provider-office operations.
  • Expertise in pharmacy and medical benefits, buy-and-bill, coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Experience with patient support hub services and the ability to build relationships and influence across a matrix organization.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license, compliant driving record, and permanent residence in the listed territory.
  • Ability to maintain up to 50% travel, with strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Oncology disease-state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, or coding.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private payer initiatives, payer policy, coding, coverage, and payment.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI.
