Associate Principal, Security Engineering (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work with up to 2 days per week remote

Salary: $122,900–$199,500 per year, plus an 8%–15% target incentive range

A systemically important financial market utility providing clearing and settlement services for equity derivatives, futures, securities lending transactions, exchanges, and trading platforms.

What you will do

• Provide 24x7 operational and engineering support for privileged access management solutions, including CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault, PKI, hot fixes, troubleshooting, break-fixes, secrets lifecycle management, and end-user support.
• Maintain the lifecycle, patching, version control, upgrades, and operational integrity of privileged access infrastructure.
• Design and enforce security as code principles across privileged access and secrets management environments.
• Develop platform enhancements, automated integrations, and user experience improvements.
• Apply artificial intelligence to accelerate detection and remediation of functional and technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security architecture and organizational resilience.

Requirements

• Experience in security operations, development, engineering, or architecture, including privileged access management and access control programs.
• Expertise supporting HashiCorp Vault and at least one of CyberArk, Active Directory Certificate Services, HSMs, or PKI.
• Experience with scripting or development in Go, Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems, including Active Directory, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, AWS IAM, Kubernetes, LDAPS, Kerberos, and certificates.
• Working knowledge of cloud ecosystems and CI/CD deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Must be able to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Professional or personal experience using AI coding agents such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Gemini CLI.
