Associate Asset Management Specialist (IT Asset Management)

Location: Dallas, Texas; on-site at the Dallas, TX office

Salary: $71,000–$107,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees.

What you will do

• Manage hardware and software asset lifecycle activities from intake and procurement through deployment, recovery, reclamation, and retirement.
• Maintain accurate records across ITAM, CMDB, ITSM, procurement, and inventory systems.
• Coordinate device shipments, returns, repairs, replacements, warranties, and equipment transfers.
• Support purchase requests, quotes, order tracking, invoice reconciliation, renewals, and software license records.
• Reconcile physical inventory with system records and prepare reports on assets, renewals, exceptions, and lifecycle activity.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, audits, secure device disposition, documentation, and process improvement.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, service delivery, procurement support, inventory control, or a related field.
• Experience managing hardware such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, or infrastructure equipment.
• Basic familiarity with software licensing, purchasing, inventory, and asset lifecycle concepts.
• Experience maintaining records in ITSM, CMDB, ITAM, ERP, procurement, or inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail, data reconciliation, documentation, prioritization, and professional customer communication.
• Ability to handle company equipment and information responsibly while following security and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise asset management, service management, CMDB, or workflow automation tools.
• Exposure to procurement, vendor coordination, purchase orders, invoices, warranties, or software renewals.
• Familiarity with audits, inventory reconciliation, secure device disposition, or software license compliance.
• Knowledge of SOC, NIST, ITAR, or DoD controls and experience in technology, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another regulated environment.
• Relevant training or certification in IT service management, asset management, procurement, or inventory control.
