Senior Field Security Investigator (Insurance Fraud)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicant must reside in a commutable location to Flagler, Volusia, Orange, or Lake County, Florida.

Salary: $32.05–$49.86 annual salary range as stated in the posting.

What you will do

• Investigate suspected insurance fraud and other illegal activities against the company.
• Conduct interviews, obtain statements, perform database inquiries, and locate information sources and witnesses.
• Evaluate the credibility of information and gather evidence to support fraud investigations.
• Refer and coordinate investigation assignments with outside agencies.
• Provide training and support to departments involved in the claims handling process.
• Manage investigative workloads, case documentation, and field activities involving vehicles and physical evidence.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or five years of insurance claims investigative or professional investigation experience.
• Alternatively, seven years of professional investigation experience involving economic or insurance-related matters.
• Experience handling statements, gathering evidence, drawing conclusions, and documenting investigations clearly and professionally.
• Ability to organize and prioritize investigative workloads, manage stressful situations, and work with technical and procedural information.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, certifications, and permits required by applicable regulations and company standards.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb around vehicles, and exercise caution while performing field duties.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree or higher.
• SIU investigation experience across diverse teams and functions.
• Experience with financial, casualty, bodily injury, workers’ compensation, commercial, marine, auto, property, or underwriting fraud investigations.
• Experience handling complex fraud cases or fraud rings and using public record, claims, and policy databases.
• Professional designations such as CIFI, CFE, FCLA, or CPCU.
