Data Science Intern (AI)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one remote day per week

Hourly internship pay: $40.00–$50.00

What you will do

• Develop machine learning applications for manufacturing and process industries with data scientists, engineers, and software developers.
• Contribute to AI technology for asset performance monitoring and engineering design and simulation software.
• Investigate emerging technologies from industry and academia and evaluate their use in software applications.
• Collaborate with customers, product managers, and technical staff on technology strategies and continuous innovation.
• Represent hirify.global and share technical insights at industry and academic meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field; PhD candidates are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis and software development using one or more of Python, C++, C, or C#.
• Strong expertise in engineering mathematics, statistics, and optimization.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms, including regression, semi-supervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, time series analysis, predictive modeling, data mining, and cognitive computing.
• Experience designing, developing, evaluating, and deploying scalable data-driven models and analytical solutions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, generative AI, MLOps, graph knowledge, or cloud technologies.
• Published research and results in the machine learning field.
