Staff Data Architect (AI/ML)

Salary: $170,000–$210,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own the architectural vision for applying AI across the data platform, including data ingestion, modeling, delivery, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Architect an agentic, AI-assisted data pipeline factory with reusable patterns, guardrails, standards, testing, and maintenance practices.
• Design AI-native tools and services built on reusable architectural foundations.
• Define architectures for advanced ML, deep learning, vector search, and unified search workloads.
• Establish interoperable, observable, reproducible, and ML-ready data flows, reference architectures, and technical standards.
• Partner with data, ML, and engineering teams to evaluate technologies, scale reliable systems, and align stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data platforms, Big Data, and ML engineering.
• Hands-on architectural experience across data warehousing, streaming, Big Data, and AI/ML systems.
• Strong proficiency with Databricks, dbt, Spark, and modern data modeling.
• Experience architecting production-grade ML and AI workloads, including advanced ML or deep learning and ideally vector, semantic, or unified search.
• Experience with AI tooling and agents, version control, code reviews, automated testing, validation gates, and reproducibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with strong leadership, communication, security, and compliance skills.
