Senior Embedded Software Engineering Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Denver, Colorado; special mention: Littleton, Colorado. Relocation assistance is provided. The role requires eligibility to work on U.S. National Security programs.

Base pay for Colorado applicants: $181,144.00–$253,601.25 per year.

What you will do

• Lead embedded software engineers developing mission-critical software for National Security programs.
• Contribute hands-on to software architecture, implementation, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Set technical direction and maintain embedded software development lifecycle processes.
• Coordinate software and hardware integration with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Manage schedules, resources, technical risks, software quality, testing, and validation.
• Mentor engineers and interface with government and industry partners on classified programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• 2+ years managing teams developing real-time embedded software for aerospace or defense applications.
• Hands-on proficiency in embedded C/C++ development practices and tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related technical field.
• 10+ years of aerospace or defense embedded software experience.
• Experience with NASA or Space Force standards, embedded cybersecurity, FPGA integration, and hardware/software co-design.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum in regulated environments.
