Salary: £72,702–£80,780 per year

What you will do

• Lead complex investigations into security alerts, incidents, and emerging threats, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Analyze security events, attacker behavior, threat intelligence, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures to identify risks and define response actions.
• Conduct threat hunting, forensic investigations, and proactive cyber defense activities to identify previously unknown threats.
• Improve Cyber Defence through the Continuous Detection Continuous Response model and modern security tooling.
• Use automation and AI to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of detection and response engineering.
• Coach and mentor Detection & Response Engineers while providing technical leadership and driving engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a Security Operations Centre, Cyber Defence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or a related cybersecurity function.
• Strong understanding of the threat detection lifecycle, attacker behavior, and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
• Experience leading complex security investigations and responding to incidents with enterprise security tools.
• Knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, threat analysis, or digital forensics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical mentoring skills.
• Availability to participate in an on-call rota.
