Technical Consultant (AI)

Location: Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule; standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Working from home on Wednesday is generally available, while Friday depends on the work and partner teams.

Salary: $120,000–$136,000 estimated annual base salary, plus potential equity, sales incentive pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives and Solutions Engineers to scope custom enterprise engagements, assess technical feasibility, and shape deal strategy.
• Own technical strategy from initial architecture through delivery and handoff.
• Design and implement scalable solutions on the Asana platform using third-party APIs, AI-augmented workflows, data migrations, and custom automation.
• Lead post-sales delivery, including project lifecycle management, coding and code review, customer engineering collaboration, and coordination with Implementation Managers.
• Establish consistent Technical Services standards, playbooks, frameworks, tools, and delivery assets across EMEA.
• Represent customer insights to Product and Engineering and contribute to partner selection and partner-led engagements.

Requirements

• 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, or Customer Engineer, with experience owning complex enterprise engagements end-to-end.
• 3+ years of hands-on programming experience; Python or Node.js is required.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and integration architecture.
• Experience in both pre-sales and post-sales technical work, including engagement scoping and delivery with customer engineering teams.
• Experience using LLMs, AI coding assistants, and agentic workflows to improve development and solution design.
• Ability to communicate with executive stakeholders, work independently as a regional practitioner, and align with global delivery standards.
