What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings, preliminary examinations, and vision tests before the optometrist's examination.
• Explain preliminary examinations and provide clear instructions to patients.
• Complete patient paperwork, review prescriptions and patient information, and identify special needs.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Consult with opticians, doctors, or retail management when necessary.
• Maintain a professional pre-test room and ensure examination equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish reading and speaking skills required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and explain information clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Optical experience or certification is not required; training is provided.
