What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings and preliminary vision tests before the optometrist's examination.
• Complete patient paperwork and explain preliminary examinations clearly.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identifying special needs and consulting the optician, doctor, or retail management when necessary.
• Maintain the doctor's office, pre-test room, and examination equipment.
• Support efficient patient flow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Fluent English and Spanish reading and speaking skills required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and explain instructions clearly to customers.
• Good organizational, multitasking, time-management, and detail-oriented skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is not required; training is provided.
