What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and perform patient pre-screening and testing before the doctor’s examination.
• Complete required paperwork and review prescriptions and patient information to identify special needs.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Maintain doctor’s and pretest equipment and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when necessary.

Requirements

• Fluent reading and speaking Spanish required.
• English required for reading and speaking.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge, understand ocular terminology and diseases, and give clear customer instructions.
• Detail-oriented professional attitude and appearance.

Nice to have

• Previous retail or optical experience.
