Therapist / Counselor (LGBTQIA+ Mental Health)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must be licensed in Maryland

What you will do

• Provide individual telehealth therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients using affirming, trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
• Conduct clinical assessments and maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant documentation in the Avon EMR.
• Apply evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and CPT according to client needs.
• Use the Trauma Journal and Written Exposure Therapy protocol to extend support between sessions.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision while working toward full independent licensure.
• Maintain at least 10 client sessions per week with flexible availability Monday through Sunday.

Requirements

• Active Maryland license required: LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT.
• Experience and cultural competence in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and providing identity-centered care.
• Comfort providing individual therapy in a telehealth setting.
• Experience with clinical assessment and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Availability for a minimum of 10 sessions per week.

Nice to have

• Experience serving LGBTQIA+ clients who are BIPOC or neurodivergent.
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, EMDR, CPT, or other evidence-based modalities.
• Experience with outcomes-based, measurement-informed care.
• Additional licensure in DC, Virginia, or North Carolina.
