Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hours assigned to the course.

What you will do

  • Teach Complex Adult Health clinical courses in partner clinical settings, typically through 12-hour rotations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for three to four consecutive days.
  • Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision while students deliver nursing care.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback based on course objectives.
  • Provide student remediation and grade assignments, tests, clinical paperwork, and other written work.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical agency policies and coordinate with agency personnel.
  • Keep course coordinators and academic leadership informed about student and clinical-site issues.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Unencumbered Missouri professional nursing license required.
  • Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for professors currently licensed in Illinois.
  • At least two years of recent professional registered nursing experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
  • Strong nursing subject-matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
