BSN Instructor - Per Diem (Nursing Education)

Location: Reno, Nevada, USA; campus-based position

Salary: USD 46–50 per hour

What you will do

• Teach nursing courses and use adult-learning principles to support interactive classroom and online learning.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes and provide immediate feedback after observations.
• Prepare, administer, and grade examinations and final course evaluations with other instructors.
• Maintain attendance, grades, clinical skills records, student records, and program data.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, student advising, program assessment, and faculty orientation.

Requirements

• Valid, active license issued by a State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university.
• No previous teaching experience is required; faculty development training is provided.
• Ability to determine appropriate methods for observing, instructing, and evaluating nursing students.
• Ability to assess clinical facilities for student health and safety requirements.
