Associate, Real Estate Corporate Banking (Real Estate Finance Division)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada. The work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Conduct company, industry, and portfolio research and analysis for new and existing credit arrangements.
• Perform financial statement, sensitivity, scenario, valuation, and lending-risk analysis across real estate asset classes.
• Build financial models focused on credit analysis and risk-rating evaluation.
• Support deal structuring, credit recommendations, senior-management presentations, and collaboration with internal risk and capital-markets partners.
• Assist Relationship Managers with client proposals, information memoranda, client requests, meetings, events, and site visits.
• Manage loan-processing activities from structuring through funding, including deposit accounts, securities, and cash-management arrangements.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of professional or educational experience in finance, real estate, lending, or a related field.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience with financial statements and accounting principles, with emphasis on assessing real estate lending risk.
• Strong client and relationship-management skills, teamwork, and business-development aptitude.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada at the specified location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
