Software Engineer I (Java)

What you will do

• Design and develop product features primarily using Java.
• Fix product bugs and investigate deployment issues.
• Deploy and upgrade the product in customer Azure environments.
• Improve monitoring and alerting capabilities across the product and deployments.
• Automate repeatable operational tasks and troubleshoot issues with development, DevOps, support, and infrastructure teams.
• Help maintain a real-time, scalable, geo-distributed product with high availability and demanding performance SLAs.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Knowledge of REST APIs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile development environment and collaborate effectively.
• Self-starter mindset and willingness to learn new technologies in depth.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering SaaS applications, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Unix shell scripting, Ruby, Python, Perl, or Unix administration experience.
• Experience with Prometheus or similar monitoring tools, React, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of core AI concepts, prompt design, and agentic AI systems.
