Senior Sales Analyst (Payments): Delivering sales performance reporting, funnel analysis, forecasting models, and commercial recommendations for a high-transaction payments business with an accent on data quality, KPI measurement, and opportunity sizing. Focus on investigating root causes, optimizing sales funnel measurement, building business cases, and translating complex analysis into measurable actions for leadership.
Location: Assigned workspace in London, Swindon or Knaresborough, UK office locations

What you will do
- Deliver weekly and monthly sales performance reporting with clear interpretations, insights and recommended actions.
- Monitor the full sales funnel, identify trends, gaps, risks and opportunities, and investigate root causes.
- Review and optimize funnel measurement across Sales, Marketing and other business initiatives.
- Support annual budgeting, planning, sales forecasting models and business cases.
- Strengthen KPI definitions, reporting logic, data quality and consistent business interpretation with stakeholders and the BI team.
- Lead ad hoc commercial analysis, track implemented actions and escalate results that are not on target.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills linking data, business context and commercial performance across markets, products or business models.
- Experience translating sales or commercial analysis into recommendations, business cases and measurable actions, preferably in a high-transaction industry.
- Strong business acumen, opportunity-sizing skills, ownership and confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent MS Excel skills and intermediate SQL skills are required.
- Tableau or Power BI skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R.
- Background in payments, credit cards, fleet, telecom, banking, financial services, SaaS or a similar high-transaction industry.
